inside the municipal ghost kitchen. stainless steel counters gleam under emergency lights. an old ticket printer spits endless orders for soup nobody requested.

green miyagi:finally. government food.

echo:these contracts predate eco drop.

a freezer door opens onto a room full of archived city contracts preserved in ice. each folder has a little nutrition label showing calories, sodium, and moral injury.

green miyagi:so the mission wasn't born broken. it was marinated.

receipt chairperson:we followed all applicable procedures.

a hologram of the old procurement board appears around a lunch table. every board member is represented by a floating receipt with a face drawn in ballpoint pen.

green miyagi:you turned the city into a subscription trap.

receipt chairperson:with quarterly transparency garnish.

green miyagi:this is how they did it. delay as technology.

green miyagi finds a sealed container labeled flood starter. inside is not a weapon, but a tiny desk calendar where every day says later.

echo:the most powerful machine was everyone saying next quarter.

puddle:point of order.

outside, the contracts melt into puddles that arrange themselves into a circle. each puddle reflects a different citizen's face. the puddles begin arguing about bylaws.

green miyagi:absolutely not.

what does green miyagi do?

option A listen to the puddles let the melted archive speak, even if it insists on parliamentary procedure. option B cook the ledger turn the old contracts into public evidence and dinner-table gossip.
