the levee break

vallance (recorded):we knew you’d find your way here eventually. the tattoo was designed to lead you home. we just didn’t expect you to arrive so loudly.
the system responds. alarms. locked doors. automated defenses. green miyagi is trapped inside the command center as the building seals itself. emergency lighting shifts to red. a recorded message plays — theodore vallance's voice, calm and prepared.
green miyagi:you’re not here. you’re just a recording.
vallance (recorded):a failsafe protocol. a goodbye gift. the command center is sealed. in thirty minutes, it floods. permanently.
echo:he’s not bluffing. the building’s structural integrity is tied to a self-destruct timer.
green miyagi:thirty minutes. echo, what can we save?
green miyagi searches the command center. walls of servers, decades of data, the complete history of the operation. one terminal shows a live feed of the ark's campfire lights in the distance. another shows the tattoo's signal history — every location green miyagi has ever visited, mapped and catalogued.
echo:i can archive the data. but the building will be destroyed. we lose the physical infrastructure.
green miyagi:the infrastructure is poison. it was built to control. we don’t need it.
echo:the timer is advancing. 23 minutes. what’s the play?
green miyagi:i can’t save everything. but i can save something.
the building shakes. water begins seeping through cracks in the lower walls. green miyagi stands before a central console, the glowing teardrop-earth tattoo reflected in every screen. two paths materialize — one leads to the broadcast array, the other to the infrastructure root access. green miyagi can only choose one.
echo:report in to tokyo.
green miyagi:not this time. this time i decide what matters.
green miyagi:echo. whatever happens next. thank you.
the countdown continues. green miyagi makes their choice. the building groans. the water rises. but there's a calm on green miyagi's face — the calm of someone who has finally stopped running. the tattoo glows one last time, then flickers and dims.
echo:wherever you go next, partner. the river reroutes.
