green miyagi:the sun came back and immediately asked for a receipt.
morning over the ark. patched solar panels glint like mismatched teeth. green miyagi sits on a milk crate beside a hand-painted sign that says daylight is temporarily backordered. a child carefully stamps the sign with an expired warranty sticker.
echo:technically, daylight has no customer support channel.
green miyagi:that's how they get you.
inside the ark workshop. buckets, wires, bicycle parts, water filters, and one decorative rubber duck labeled department of emotional accuracy. the duck is sitting in a tiny office chair.
stranger:people are asking what green miyagi does now.
green miyagi:i mostly apologize to pipes.
echo:the pipes have filed zero formal complaints. several informal gurgles remain under review.
elder:we need governance.
a community meeting around a cracked whiteboard. someone has drawn a serious infrastructure map, then added a small wizard hat on the water tower. nobody admits doing it.
green miyagi:we need a pump schedule and one rule against naming committees after feelings.
child:too late. i founded the committee for suspicious hope.
kiosk:thank you for choosing sustainable extraction.
green miyagi walks the edge of receding water. old eco drop kiosks poke out of the mud like guilty appliances. one kiosk flickers alive and prints a coupon for free guilt with purchase.
green miyagi:i didn't.
kiosk:your objection has been converted into engagement.
echo:there are three useful problems. that feels suspiciously like a plot.
night. green miyagi and echo project a map across a tarp. three routes glow: follow the old eco drop service tunnels, rebuild the ark pumps, or interview the kiosk until it develops shame.
